This short story is located in a resort just outside of Cape Town called ‘Jumping Monkey Hill’. Ujunwa Ogundu the main character is attending a writing workshop held by a British Council writer Edward, who is an elderly man.
Chosen writers from all over Africa were asked to attend this workshop to write a short piece. At the end of the experience Ujunwa read out her story about Chioma a woman who was sexually harassed by her possible future boss. Edward did not accept Ujunwa’s story as it didn’t portray realism and was “implausible”.
